The colour
Like all our plain linens, Harry’s yarn dyed. This means the threads are dyed before they’re woven, for a greater depth of colour. It comes in five natural shades. This one’s Flax Blue, a light blue that we’ve added grey to, making it subtler, giving it more depth, and making it easier for you to use at home. Try it as an accent colour with earthy neutrals.
Where we see it
As Harry’s one of our more hardwearing linens, it’s good for sofas and chairs that get used all the time, and its relaxed look suits laidback rooms. The natural flecks make a good partner for other organic fabrics, such as wool and tweed.
The textile
100% linen. Harry’s made of fine yarns, tightly woven together, so it’s both soft and strong. It’ll feel cool in summer and warm in winter, so you can use it all year round.
A note on slubs
Joining these fibres together creates raised parts in the thread, known as slubs. They’re not flaws, just part of the fabric’s character.
How it looks
Harry’s smooth, with a slight sheen. It’s got the gently crumpled look that comes with pure linen.
How it feels
There’s some weight to Harry, but it’s made of fine yarns, so it’s softer and lighter than a textured linen like Finian.
