From our own, white-glove service for delivering larger pieces in the UK and Ireland, to our courier and international partners, rest assured that we’ve done everything we can to make sure your order gets to you on time and in one, perfect piece.
Delivery’s also entirely free if you’re in the UK and spend over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
When it comes to designs upholstered in a made-to-order fabric or painted in a bespoke colour, there’s also a 20% returns/cancellation fee. We’d love to not have to charge a penny for this, but as they’re made just for you, we can’t always guarantee that we’ll be able to sell them again.
If you’ve bought something from us outside the UK or Ireland, just get in touch with the store you bought it from – or with our international team if you bought it through them – and they’ll let you know how you can return or exchange it.
And talk to our international team on +44 (0)1793 427 427 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.

We’ve put together a series of guides on how best to take care of your Chichester washstand, so you can keep them looking as good as the day you first brought them home.
The colours in our paint palette shown here are a close representation of their true shades, but to see the real thing, we suggest trying our sample paint pots.
This washstand comes with Chrome hardware – including muffled magnetic door catches and Chichester knobs – to match most tap finishes.
All our basins have ‘flip-top’ (also known as swivel) plugs. But, these can be easily removed if you’d prefer a different style.
This piece is made from natural timber, which will expand (slightly) and shrink (just a little) as it responds to the humidity and temperature in your room. We’ve used joinery techniques that’ll help to counteract this, but small changes in your piece are completely natural and to be expected. Just know that, in the very unlikely event that there’s a significant change to the structure, we’ll be here to help.
A closer look at Chichester
When it comes to painted timber, we use tulipwood – a strong and resilient hardwood. Its fine, almost knot-free grain makes it perfectly suited to a painted finish, so you get the best of both worlds – strength and smoothness. The exposed timber top though is solid oak, with all of the natural knots and colour variations that are part of its charm (we’ve written more about oak’s qualities here).
The finish: paint
Not every piece of furniture and every colour of paint needs the same process – a ‘one finish suits all’ approach won’t ever give you the best result possible. That’s why we vary the number of coats and use both hand-painted and spray-painted techniques depending on what that shade requires.
The finish: IsoGuard®
Chichester’s oak top is protected with IsoGuard®, our timber treatment oil that helps to prevent stains and spills from setting in, like water rings from cups without coasters. And it does all of this without masking the natural look and feel of oak like most lacquers and sealers do.
All our bathroom basins are ceramic – it’s the material we’ve found to be the best combination of durability and looks. Here, the basin’s a classic bowl shape that’ll leave plenty of room on top for a tap and accessories, but that’s still large enough for hand-washing and face-cleansing.
What about taps?
We haven’t included taps with this washstand, so you can pick the style that suits you most. For that reason, we also haven’t drilled tap holes into the worktop – your plumber will be able to do this for you though. The taps we’d recommend are either single lever or wall-mounted designs.
Inside each of the cupboards is an adjustable shelf that rests on attractive and strong zigzag supports. There are also small cubbies on the inside of each door, which makes use of this space for easy-to-reach items. Above, the soft-close drawers fit cleverly around the waste pipe of each sink to maximise storage.
Chichester embodies everything we love about classic English design. This washstand is pared-back but subtly traditional, with decorative detail coming from the joinery – the tabletop which has a curved edge to match that of the basin; and the carved grooves on the shelf, legs and drawer.
