All the pieces in our Somerton collection are made from kubu – a type of natural rattan that’s strong, smooth and sustainable. It’s grey-brown in colour, a look that’s subtle, classic and fits easily into any interior. Because it’s a natural material, the colour will vary within each piece, giving them even more texture and interest.
In the making
It’s not always possible to make things by hand, but when it comes to rattan-weaving, that’s really the only way to do it. It means that, even though our tree skirts are fairly uniform in shape and size, they do vary slightly, giving them much more character than if a machine made them.
In use
Simply place your tree skirt over your tree’s stand before your fix the tree itself into place. With our Albert trees, Somerton will cover the stand and some of the pole, leaving enough room for you to splay out the lowermost branches and hang decorations from them. With a real tree, the amount of trunk the skirt covers will depend on how short you cut it.

If your order is available now, we’ll deliver it between 3-5 days of your order being placed.

No-quibble returns
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
Need to knows
If your tree skirt gets dirty or wet, try to wipe it clean (a slightly damp cloth is all you need) and dry it as soon as you can. As for dust, pine needles and glitter, we’ve found a vacuum cleaner with a brush nozzle is your best bet.
