The White Onion
Situated in the heart of Wimbledon Village, this contemporary French eaterie is fabulous for a fancier lunch. The dishes are quite elaborate in every sense from the highest quality ingredients and unusual combinations to the ever-so impressive presentation on the plate.
The Ivy Cafe
London's iconic Ivy institution has slowly and steadily been opening smaller cafes and restaurants across the capital. The Wimbledon Village location is one of our favourite places for brunch in particular. It has a beautiful garden terrace that opens from 8am which is a wonderfully calm place to enjoy its scrumptious avocado and spinach Benedict. It's best to book beforehand.
Light on the Common
Sat pretty much on the common, this small restaurant has an intimate atmosphere that suits its edited, seasonal menu. It serves breakfast, lunch and supper, and we love it just as much for all three. And needless to say, the interior is flooded with natural light making the atmosphere as uplifting and refreshing as the dishes it serves.
The Fox & Grapes
This is our top pub for the area. It's the only independent pub in Wimbledon Village and was built in the 1700s. The food is modern-English in style, and its Sunday lunches are described as being a 'local legend.'
