You can use any lamp for reading, but Chetham is the one that lives for it. It has a small base that you can easily tuck under the sofa; a swing arm so it leans over you as you read, and a shade that you can angle so the light’s in just the right place. It’s also a minimal design: a little modern, but discreet enough for most interiors. Choose from two finishes: nickel and this deep bronze colour.

The materials
Chetham has a steel base frame with a choice of bronze or nickel finishes – both give an elegant look that’s a modern take on vintage style. The bronze is ideal for creating an aged, timeless look whereas the nickel has a slightly more contemporary feel but still keeps its classic style through the shape of the lamp itself.
Design detail
To make sure our reading light is in keeping with the vintage look, we’ve used a black fabric cable for the Bronze finish and a grey one for the Nickel version, both of which have a subtle inline foot switch for quick and easy use.
