From our own, white-glove service for delivering larger pieces in the UK and Ireland, to our courier and international partners, rest assured that we’ve done everything we can to make sure your order gets to you on time and in one, perfect piece.
Delivery’s also entirely free if you’re in the UK and spend over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
When it comes to designs upholstered in a made-to-order fabric or painted in a bespoke colour, there’s also a 20% returns/cancellation fee. We’d love to not have to charge a penny for this, but as they’re made just for you, we can’t always guarantee that we’ll be able to sell them again.
If you’ve bought something from us outside the UK or Ireland, just get in touch with the store you bought it from – or with our international team if you bought it through them – and they’ll let you know how you can return or exchange it.
And talk to our international team on +44 (0)1793 427 427 or at email@example.com.

The textiles you can choose from for Long Island are all either pure linen or linen blends, because that’s the fabric that suits its loose covers best. There are over 30 of these in our library, and each one has its own character. Tone and texture can vary slightly from thread to thread, and expect to see the occasional slub. We’ve written an article about the personality behind each of our fabrics so that you can figure out which one best suits your home.
Sometimes colour between batches can vary ever-so-slightly. To be on the safe side, we’d advise buying pieces that are being used in the same room in one go.
We’ve put together this guide on taking care of your upholstered pieces so that they stay looking as beautiful as the day you first brought them home.
A closer look at Long Island
Frame and filling
We make the frames of our upholstered dining chairs with sold timber and proper joinery – they’re built to last. Long Island also has serpentine springs as well as foam and fibre padding for as much comfort as possible without making it too bulky.
Comfort and proportions
Long Island’s shape is deceptively straight-lined; sit down and you’ll find that the backrest is softer down the centre to mould to your body, and that the seat is surprisingly springy. As one of our higher-backed dining chairs, it’s got shoulder support covered too.
The loose covers reach only part way down the legs so you can see the solid oak. They also fit snugly because they tuck into a pocket between the back and seat, which means you don’t need to worry about them crumpling too much. Small notches kick the fabric out at each corner to soften the lines of the chair, but look simpler than a skirt.
