Frame and filling
We make the frames of our upholstered dining chairs with sold timber and proper joinery – they’re built to last. Mowbray also has serpentine springs as well as foam and fibre padding for as much comfort as possible.
Comfort and proportions
The curves in Mowbray’s shape aren’t just for looks – they’re back-moulding, shoulder-hugging curves that support in just the right places. Its seat isn’t as domed as some, but slightly arched springs inside mean it’s surprisingly comfortable
Even though Mowbray’s made from very sturdy, very strong timber, its flowing lines give it a more delicate appearance. Neat piping around its perimeter to highlight its curves is the final finishing detail.
Delivered to you, safe and sound
Free for all orders over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
An estimated delivery date is indicated above, which we’ll confirm at checkout. We'll then be in touch prior to delivery to arrange a specific time.
If your order is being delivered to the UK mainland and Ireland via our white glove service, we’ll unbox your items, position them in your chosen room, assemble anything that’s required and remove and recycle the packaging.
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
When it comes to designs upholstered in a made-to-order fabric or painted in a bespoke colour, there’s also a 20% returns/cancellation fee. We’d love to not have to charge a penny for this, but as they’re made just for you, we can’t always guarantee that we’ll be able to sell them again.
If you’ve bought something from us outside the UK or Ireland, just get in touch with the store you bought it from – or with our international team if you bought it through them – and they’ll let you know how you can return or exchange it.
And talk to our international team on +44 (0)1793 427 427 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Taking care of Mowbray
Looking after Neptune designs is easy – they won’t ask you for a lot. But, whether you’d like advice on everyday cleaning or seasonal and yearly care, you’ll find all our tips, suggestions and recommendations in our care guides.
The textiles in our fabric library range from pure linen to rich velvet and wool, and each has its own character. Tone and texture can vary slightly from thread to thread, and expect to see the occasional slub in our linens – traits that are all a lovely part of natural materials.
Sometimes colours between batches can vary ever so slightly. To be on the safe side, we’d advise buying pieces that are being used in the same room in one go.
