The name behind our collection is inspired by the centre for glass development in the 17th centry: Greenwich. It was during this time that the astute English businessman George Ravenscroft became well-known for his glassmaking trade and is recognised to this day for his development of clear crystal glass. His innovative designs have influenced this elegant water jug which features a slender shape and, unlike glasses in the 1600s, is made from lead-free crystal.
Design & engineering
The making process
Our Greenwich crystalline glass collection is mouth-blown. This is a traditional technique where the maker blows into a pipe while rotating it at the same time to form its shape. As a result of this process, some small air bubbles will be visible – they’re a mark of true craftsmanship and will make each piece unique.
Design detail
You’ll notice that our Greenwich glassware has a high-quality look and feel to it – that’s because of the materials we’ve used to make this lead-free crystal. By getting the perfect balance, our glasses are slender, and have excellent clarity with plenty of brightness which you’d expect from crystalline glass.

Care & need to knows
Care guide
This glassware is perfectly safe to put in the dishwasher, however it is not microwave safe – so, for instance, we would not recommend heating mulled wine in these glasses. The glasses are sold in sets of six online and in store.
