Bayham is dishwasher and microwave safe, however we recommend washing by hand.
As hardwearing as stoneware is, metal and sharp objects might mark the glaze.
A closer look at Bayham
Stoneware is the best choice for everyday ceramics that see a lot of love and use. It’s less likely to chip than more delicate clays like china and earthenware and is suitable for dishwashers.
Rebecca mixes her own, vanilla-toned glaze that’s matte rather than glossy. It has a textural, speckled finish too, while the sides are left unglazed so the natural character of the raw material is felt.
The making process
Working from her garden studio in West Sussex, Rebecca creates each of these pinch pots by hand on a potter’s wheel, then misshapes them slightly before they’re fired. It means that each one will be slightly different in shape and size. You’ll spot brush marks from where the glaze was added by hand too.
