The clay
Stoneware is the best choice for everyday ceramics that see a lot of love and use. It’s less likely to chip than more delicate clays like china and earthenware, and it’s suitable for dishwashers.
The Glaze
Rebecca mixes her own, vanilla-toned glaze that’s matte rather than glossy. It has a textural, speckled finish too, while the rim and outside are left unglazed so the natural character of the raw material is felt.
The making process
Working from her garden studio in West Sussex, Rebecca creates each of these bowls by hand on a potter’s wheel. Compared to mould-made ceramics, it means that each one will be slightly different. You’ll spot brush marks from where the glaze was added by hand too.
When it comes to smaller items, we don't hang around.
From our own, white-glove service for delivering larger pieces in the UK and Ireland, to our courier and international partners, rest assured that we’ve done everything we can to make sure your order gets to you on time and in one, perfect piece.
Delivery’s also entirely free if you’re in the UK and spend over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
No-quibble returns
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
Taking care of Bayham
Bayham is dishwasher and microwave safe, however we recommend washing by hand.
Just so you know
The bud vases and jugs in our Bayham collection aren’t quite completely watertight. So, although you can absolutely fill them with water, a little moisture may appear underneath them after a time. We just recommend that you place them on a coaster or non-porous surface to stop a watermark appearing.
