Just so you know
The Fenton espresso cups give this classic dinner service a modern touch with their gently flared shape. In fine bone china, they feel lovely to hold and sip from. They’re also perfect for serving puddings like chocolate mousse or possets, with a piece of shortbread in the saucer.
Fenton is our grown-up dinner service, made from fine bone china. A percentage of bone ash added to the clay gives fine ‘bone’ china its beautiful translucency. It also gives it a warmer, softer-looking colour than porcelain (which is called just ‘fine china’).
Fenton is cast in a mould, then glazed and fired. While some pieces are left just as they are to give us Fenton White, other pieces are decorated with slender transfers to create the silver edge detail of Fenton Platinum.
All the Fenton pieces (apart from the bowls where these only come in white) come in both the plain Fenton White and the detailed Fenton Platinum. So you can choose to have all one style, all the other, or mix the two together. The Fenton Platinum charger is extra special because more than just the silver-edge detail, it has a pale grey lattice border.
When it comes to smaller items, we don't hang around.
From our own, white-glove service for delivering larger pieces in the UK and Ireland, to our courier and international partners, rest assured that we’ve done everything we can to make sure your order gets to you on time and in one, perfect piece.
Delivery’s also entirely free if you’re in the UK and spend over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
Because of their fine decoration, all Fenton Platinum pieces need to be washed up by hand. But we think they’re well-worth the trouble.
Fenton White pieces are dishwasher-safe, although the over-sized chargers and dinner plates may not fit in your particular dishwasher.
Neither are oven- or microwave-safe.
