A closer look at Henley

The Henley mirror is all about oak – its beautiful grain, variety of tone, durability and sense of heritage. It has a wide, smooth, hand-carved frame with a crisp modern look so that you can make it work whether your home’s interior is inspired by old or new. It’s designed to sit happily with our Henley furniture, but works just as well on its own.

The materials

Oak is at the heart of everything we do. Whenever you see exposed wood on a Neptune kitchen or piece of furniture – or accessory – it’ll be oak. The charming knots and characterful swirls of natural oak are part of its story.

The finish

Henley’s oak is protected with IsoGuard®, our oil-based formula that doesn’t mask its natural texture (like most lacquers and sealers do) and that also makes it less likely to mark if it gets splashed – it’s still wise to wipe it down though. Think of it as a defence barrier, but one that you’d never know was there.

Design details

The glass on our Henley mirror is one of the few that isn’t bevelled. It’s a conscious design choice. We think a bevelled edge creates a classic look, so to help Henley bridge traditional and contemporary styles, we’ve gone for a smooth and simple sheet of glass instead.

Ways to use it

Mirrors create a sense of space – hung at the end of a short hallway, they’ll add depth; hung either side of a narrow hallway, they’ll add width. They boost natural light – so position one opposite a window in a dark hallway or a dark corner of a room. A mirror can create an interesting focal point – place one behind a special object you want to highlight, and so create a reflection of it in another part of the room.

Just so you know

Henley has a deep frame so you can hang it, or prop it up on a piece of furniture or a mantelpiece. It’s also suitable for use in a bathroom. To hang, you’ll need to select fixings that are best for your wall, which is why we haven’t included these.

Taking care of Henley

When it comes to care advice, because of the Henley's specific timber finish it's actually already protected by our IsoGuard®. So just wipe the surface with a damp cloth and then dry fully with one that’s soft, clean and dry.

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling. The assembly service doesn't include fitted furniture.

For homes and customers outside of the UK and Ireland, our international team are here to help arrange shipping and delivery. Call us on +44 (0)1793 427 427 or e-mail [email protected] and together we’ll sort out the best method for you.

No-quibble returns

We believe that returns should be easy, that’s why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then, free of charge.

But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out to your address for collection.

If you’ve bought something from us outside the UK or Ireland, just get in touch with the store you bought it from – or with our international team if you bought it through them – and they’ll let you know how you can return or exchange it.

You can find the store’s details online here.

And talk to our international team on +44 (0)1793 427 427 or at [email protected]
