The tabletop extends seamlessly from the centre thanks to the concealed rack-and-pinion mechanisms. Crafted from solid oak, Wycombe’s breadboard ends and spindled legs draw on the Arts & Crafts inspiration behind the collection.

Design notes

Made from smooth solid oak for strength and longevity.
Timber protected with Natural Oak IsoGuard®.
Two steel rack-and-pinions – one on each side – ensure a steady extension.
Two leaves slot onto extension runners and are secured by brass pins.
When not in use, the extension leaves are stored beneath the tabletop and held in place by metal brackets.
Legs move out with the tabletop to maximise leg room.
Discreet glides under the legs for levelling and protecting flooring.
Pair with the Wycombe dining chairs and benches.

Materials

We source the finest cuts of solid oak for our timber furniture, which gives it the strength and longevity to last for generations. Like any natural material, oak features variations in colour and grain and characterful knots – qualities to be celebrated as part of its very nature.

Design inspiration

Wycombe pays homage to the Arts & Crafts design movement. Its pioneers championed quality materials and traditional craftsmanship, with utility and beauty at the forefront. Morris & Co’s seminal Sussex Chair prompted Wycombe’s key design notes; the woven rush seat and spindled back.

The brass pins which locate the extension leaves have male and female orientations, so ensure they are correctly aligned.
