The materials
Chloe is transformed from flax to fabric in Belgium – one of a few countries which has an ideal climate for cultivating the world’s finest linen. As such, the material carries the Belgian Linen label, a quality trademark which guarantees it’s woven in Belgium with at least 85% natural flax fibres (or, in Chloe’s case, 100%). And, it also has the Masters of Linen label, a seal of excellence which certifies that it's been made in Europe and meets high quality standards. La couleur
Comme tous nos lins unis, Chloe est teint en fil. Cela veut dire que les fils sont teints avant d’être tissés, pour une couleur plus profonde. Le tissu est décliné en cinq nuances délicates – York Rose est un rose blush pâle au rendu plus chaleureux qu’un beige.
Doing the right thing
Not only is this biodegradable fabric made in a carbon neutral weaving mill, our supplier also ensures that all parts of the flax plant are used during production. The shives (fragments that break off inside the plant stems during flax extraction) are used for animal bedding or chipboard, while the long and highest-quality short fibres are used for textiles like our Chloe linen.
