Harrogate Dining Chair

Change colour

A closer look at Harrogate

The Harrogate dining chair has a simple and timeless shape that can appear traditional or contemporary depending on the colour its painted in and its setting. It’s a little taller than our other wooden chairs and feels reassuringly solid, but doesn’t add any heaviness to the room.

Materials

Harrogate is made from birch, a high-quality hardwood that’s incredibly strong. It’s also ideal for painting because of its ultra-smooth surface and fine grain with very few knots.

Finish

We take great care in achieving our painted finish and treat every design differently, giving it exactly what it needs to make it robust. We vary the number of base and top coats according to how many that particular shade requires. And we use a mixture of spray-painted and hand-painted techniques so the finish is as perfect as can be.

Comfort & proportions

This chair’s top line sits somewhere around the shoulders and upper back. The backrest is curved to follow your contours, reclines ever so slightly, and has comfortably wide spindles. The seat dips inwards and is made even more comfy with the addition of the matching seat cushion.

Design detail

High-backed it may be, but this chair isn’t so tall that it’s dominant. Its straight lines feel orderly when it’s lined up in multiples along a rectangular table. That said, its simplicity also lends it to mixing with other chairs for a more eclectic feel.

Taking care of your furniture

We’ve put together a series of guides on how best to take care of our pieces, so you can keep them looking as good as the day you first brought them home.

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling.

No-quibble returns

We believe that returns should be easy, that’s why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then, free of charge.

But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out to your address for collection.
