Harrogate Dining Chair

Change colour

A closer look at Harrogate

The Harrogate dining chair has a simple and timeless shape that can appear traditional or contemporary depending on the colour its painted in and its setting. It’s a little taller than our other wooden chairs and feels reassuringly solid, but doesn’t add any heaviness to the room.

Materials

When it comes to painted timber, we use tulipwood – a strong and resilient hardwood. Its fine, almost knot-free grain makes it perfectly suited to a painted finish, so you get the best of both worlds – strength and smoothness.

Finish

Not every piece of furniture and every colour of paint needs the same process – a ‘one finish suits all’ approach won’t ever give you the best result possible. That’s why we vary the number of coats and use both hand-painted and spray-painted techniques depending on what that shade needs.

Comfort & proportions

This chair’s top line will sit somewhere around your shoulders and upper back. The backrest is also curves, reclines ever so slightly, and has comfortably wide spindles. The seat dips inwards, but to make it even more comfy, add the matching seat cushion.

Design detail

Harrogate’s slatted back means it’s good for when you want an ordered feel around a rectangular table – it’s a look that works especially well in busy kitchens. Its simplicity also means it’s ideal for mixing with other chairs for a more eclectic style.

Just so you know

The colours in our paint palette shown here are a close representation of their true shades, but to see the real thing, we suggest trying our sample paint pots.

Taking care of your furniture

You want: easy-to-care-for pieces that you don’t need to tiptoe around. We’ve got: easy-to-read-through care guides that give you just that.

Right this way

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling. The assembly service does exclude fitted furniture.

No-quibble returns

Returns should be easy, that’s why we have a ‘no quibble’ mindset.

If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then. But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out.

And when it comes to designs upholstered in a made-to-order fabric or painted in a bespoke colour, there’s also a 30% returns/cancellation fee. We’d love to not have to charge a penny for this, but as they’re made just for you, we can’t always guarantee that we’ll be able to sell them again.
