A closer look at Sheldrake

Standing tall and very elegantly designed, Sheldrake brings a sense of occasion to the table. And while it may feel like more of a dining room chair than one that might be found in the kitchen, it can be used to bring texture and a touch of splendour to dressing tables and hallways too.

Fabric notes

The textiles in our fabric library range from pure linen to rich velvet and wool, and each one has its own character. Tone and texture can vary slightly from thread to thread, and expect to see the occasional slub in our linens. We’ve written an article about the personality behind each of our fabrics so that you can figure out which one best suits your home.

Read on

If you order Sheldrake in one of our patterned textiles, we’ll pare back the stitching and buttons so it doesn’t appear too busy. And, if you’ve selected a checked wool, we’ll aim to line up each of the buttons with the point where two lines meet.

Sometimes colour between batches can vary ever-so-slightly. To be on the safe side, we’d advise buying pieces that are being used in the same room in one go.

Taking care of Mowbray

We’ve put together this guide on taking care of your upholstered pieces so that they stay looking as beautiful as the day you first brought them home.

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling.

No-quibble returns

We believe that returns should be easy, that’s why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then, free of charge.

But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out to your address for collection.

New, just opened, and coming very soon...

Not too long ago, a guest at one of our stores described it as being 'extraordinary'. It's the word that we feel best describes them – the look, the feel, the experience. Some are in city-centre locations, some are a little drive out, but they're all designed to feel like a real home, rather than a store.
