Harrogate 12 Seater Dining Table

A closer look at Harrogate

Harrogate is reminiscent of farmhouse kitchen pieces, with its pedestal legs and mix of oak and painted timber. It’s the dependable, homely centrepiece, but every inch – from the crisp edged tabletop to the thoughtfully designed feet – is finely made, and its finish suits contemporary spaces too. (

Materials

Where the timber is painted, we’ve used tulipwood – a high-quality hardwood that has very few knots in its grain, lending it to a high-quality finish. The exposed timber tabletop though, is natural oak, with all of the knots and colour variations that are part of its charm (we’ve written more about oak’s qualities here).

The finish: paint

We take great care in achieving our painted finish and treat every design differently, giving it exactly what it needs to make it robust. We vary the number of base and top coats according to how many that particular shade requires. And we use a mixture of spray-painted and hand-painted techniques so the finish is as perfect as can be.

The finish: IsoGuard®

IsoGuard® is the treatment oil we developed to make oak surfaces easier to live with. The Chalked Oak finish on Harrogate’s tabletop makes it slightly paler without masking its texture.

In the making

In all our tables, we use joinery techniques that help to counteract timber’s natural tendency to expand (slightly) and shrink (just a little) as it adjusts to the temperature and humidity of your home.

Shape

The clean lines of Harrogate’s shape add a sense of order to a space. It’s most at home adjoining a kitchen, where it echoes the lines of cabinetry, and paired with our Buckland bench seating for practical, easy-going dining.

Design detail

Harrogate’s pedestal legs allow more people to sit around without getting in the way (they’re also set in from the edge, even when it’s not extended, so someone can perch at either end too), and look simpler than a leg at each corner.

Taking care of Harrogate

We’ve put together this guide on taking care of your dining table, so that it stays looking as beautiful as the day you first brought it home.

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling.

No-quibble returns

We believe that returns should be easy, that’s why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then, free of charge.

But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out to your address for collection.
