Sheldrake Extending Dining Table

Change size

A closer look at Sheldrake

Sheldrake is a refined and versatile dining table. Thanks to its slim proportions, it’s practical (not to mention pretty) no matter its size. It’s a good choice whether you need it to extend for just a couple of guests, or if you’re the go-to host for special occasions.

Materials

Oak, because it’ll look more than good in your home. You can expect the odd knot here and the odd change in wood grain there – which means no two tables will ever look quite the same – but overall, it’s a well-balanced timber.

Finish

Sheldrake is finished with our treatment oil – IsoGuard® – to make it easier to live with. Think of it as a defence barrier, but one that you’d never know was there. IsoGuard® comes in a few finishes; this one’s Seasoned Oak and it gives Sheldrake a subtle, silvered colour – like naturally weathered timber.

Design detail

As big as Sheldrake gets, it looks light and airy because we’ve slimmed down every aspect. It’s also full of curves, whether it’s the turned legs, the oval ends, or the rounded edge to the top, which makes it a good kitchen table because it’ll soften the look of cabinetry.

How it extends

Sheldrake’s ends simply slide out, carried on dovetail-jointed oak rails. As many of the leaves as you’d like can then be slotted into place (they’re stored in a useful bag so they don’t add bulk). It’s an easy thing to do, but you’ll need another pair of helping hands to manoeuvre the other side.

Taking care of Sheldrake

We’ve put together this guide on taking care of your dining table, so that it stays looking as beautiful as the day you first brought it home.

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling. The assembly service doesn't include fitted furniture.

For homes and customers outside of the UK and Ireland, our international team are here to help arrange shipping and delivery. Call us on +44 (0)1793 427 427 or e-mail  and together we’ll sort out the best method for you.

No-quibble returns

We believe that returns should be easy, that’s why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then, free of charge.

But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out to your address for collection.
