Stanway Rectangular Table, Teak

A closer look at Stanway

The Stanway dining table’s weighty cuts of clean-edged teak contrast beautifully with the softness of planting and woven seating that might occupy your garden. Its design is unfussy but with strong lines and a slight rusticity, giving it a contemporary character that suits any outdoor setting.

The materials-teak

Teak’s known for being one of the kings of outdoor hardwoods. It’s strong, durable, and is full of natural oils that gives it resistance to rot, insects. It’s also able to regulate temperature to stop it from getting too warm in summer and too cold in winter, meaning its less likely to move or splinter.

The finish-teak

Even though teak’s naturally practical for outdoor life, we always protect exposed timber with our treatment oil, IsoGuard®. Think of it as an invisible defence barrier not just from the elements, but from spills like water rings or accidental hose pipe squirts.

Teak & the silvering process

All teak will weather over time though, fading from a honeyed brown colour to pale silver. You can slow the process down with certain teak oils, but it’s easier and nicer to embrace it as part of its natural character. You can read the story of silvering here.

Just so you know

This table’s made using natural timber, which expands and shrinks slightly as it responds to changes in the weather. Our joinery techniques help to counteract this, but small changes are completely natural. In the unlikely event that there’s a significant change to the structure, we’ll be here to help.

And Stanway comes with a hole in the middle, so that you can use it with one of our parasols.

Taking care of Stanway

We’ve put together a series of guides on how best to take care of our pieces, so you can keep them looking as good as the day you first brought them home.

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling. The assembly service does exclude fitted furniture.

No-quibble returns

We believe that returns should be easy, that’s why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then, free of charge.

But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out to your address for collection.
