A closer look at Chatto

Our Chatto Lloyd Loom seating was designed for those spaces that connect the house with the garden. So, we’ve partnered it with our Aldwych coffee table to create a set that’s just-right for conservatories, garden rooms and orangeries – combining the natural texture of Lloyd Loom with painted finishes and pretty, fine lines.

About Lloyd Loom

Invented in the early 1900s, Lloyd Loom’s made by wrapping paper around steel wire to create a natural woven look. It’s very sturdy and won’t bend, creak or snag. It has a painted finish - our Lily shade, a warm grey that goes with everything and looks great with greenery.

The seat cushions

The seat cushions are made from weather-resistant canvas, so you needn’t bring them inside if there’s a quick summer shower. They aren’t completely weatherproof, though, so don’t leave them out all year long or in pouring rain. They’re filled with foam, which is soft but keeps its shape well, and the covers are removable, so they’re easy to clean.

How it feels

Chatto’s got a slim frame, but the seat’s quite deep and wide and the back’s firm. If you want to, there’s space to add a few scatter cushions, but the seamless line from back to arms means you’ll be comfortable without them.

Design details

Chatto is made from tulipwood, a timber with few knots that’s very smooth when painted. We use both hand-painted and spray-painted techniques so it’s as perfect as can be. On the chairs, the aluminium frame’s just visible at the bottom of the legs above subtle, plastic-capped feet that protect it from dirt, moisture and scuffs.

Where we see it

Chatto’s designed for garden rooms, conservatories and orangeries, but you can use it outdoors in good weather, too.

Need to knows

The table in this set’s made using natural timber, which expands and shrinks slightly as it responds to changes in the weather. Our joinery techniques help to counteract this, but small changes are completely natural. In the unlikely event that there’s a significant change to the structure, we’ll be here to help.

Taking care of your furniture

You want: easy-to-care-for pieces that you don’t need to tiptoe around. We’ve got: easy-to-read-through care guides that give you just that.

Right this way

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling. The assembly service doesn't include fitted furniture.

For homes and customers outside of the UK and Ireland, our international team are here to help arrange shipping and delivery. Call us on +44 (0)1793 427 427 or e-mail [email protected] and together we’ll sort out the best method for you.

No-quibble returns

We believe that returns should be easy, that’s why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then, free of charge.

But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out to your address for collection.

If you’ve bought something from us outside the UK or Ireland, just get in touch with the store you bought it from – or with our international team if you bought it through them – and they’ll let you know how you can return or exchange it.

You can find the store’s details online here.

And talk to our international team on +44 (0)1793 427 427 or at [email protected]
