A closer look at Pesaro

Understated and comfortable, Pesaro is the kind of classic wicker chair that wouldn’t be out of place in an English country garden (or garden room). We can never quite decide which of its qualities we love most – its cosy, wrap-around shape, its timelessness, or its easy-going materials.

Materials: all-weather wicker

While we love natural materials like rattan, we’ll sometimes choose an alternative if it’ll make your design live longer and your life far easier. Here, we use a woven resin fibre (which we call ‘all-weather wicker’) because it’s happy being left outside. From its appearance to its texture, it’s remarkably close to rattan too.

Materials: canvas

The cushions are made from a weather-resistant canvas, so that they needn’t be brought inside every time there’s a quick summer shower. They’re not weatherproof though – an important distinction – and so can’t be left out all year long or in pouring rain. The covers are also removeable so they can easily be cleaned.

Comfort and proportions

What’s most noticeable when you sit in Pesaro is how snug it feels, thanks to the high back. It also has a back cushion that can be shuffled around to suit your seating position. It’s filled with fibre (rather than the foam that’s in the seat) for even more softness.

Design detail

It’s quite often the little details that make a piece. It’s why Pesaro’s edges are neatly finished with a line of plaited wicker, and why this stretches down to wrap around the legs too. These end in discreet plastic feet though, to protect from the dirt and moisture that’s part of garden living.

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling.

No-quibble returns

We believe that returns should be easy, that’s why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then, free of charge.

But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out to your address for collection.
