Blenheim Coffee Table, Small

A closer look at Blenheim

Blenheim was inspired by an antique table seen at Blenheim Palace – we wanted to recreate its delicate details, but in a way that would fit with a less-is-more home. The result is a collection of oak tables (including this coffee table) with swooping curves and graceful proportions, but a resilient nature.

Materials

We use oak because of its beautiful grain, its durability and its sense of heritage (we’ve written more on oak’s qualities here). Part of its character are its knots and variations in tone, so each piece will have its own hand-writing.

Finish

The oak is lightly brushed, which removes some of the softer fibres from the grain and creates a slight texture. It’s then treated with our Chalked Oak IsoGuard® oil, which gives it a paler, softer appearance and highlights the grain, as well as making it easier to live with.

Design detail

Blenheim is full of decorative details, like the arcs at the base that reference the fretwork of the 18th century table that inspired it; or the rounded, tapered legs with their carved details; and the unusual, castellated shape of the tabletop. It’s kept from being fussy though, by its crisp edges and honest finish.

Just So you know

This piece is made from natural timber, which will expand (slightly) and shrink (just a little) as it responds to the humidity and temperature in your room. We’ve used joinery techniques that’ll help to counteract this, but small changes in your piece are completely natural and to be expected. Just know that, in the very unlikely event that there’s a significant change to the structure, we’ll be here to help.

Taking care of Blenheim

We’ve put together this guide on taking care of your coffee table, so that it stays looking as beautiful as the day you first brought it home.

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling.

No-quibble returns

We believe that returns should be easy, that’s why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then, free of charge.

But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out to your address for collection.
