Edinburgh Console Table, Large

A closer look at Edinburgh

Our Edinburgh console tables are made from tactile, grain-rich oak and have a sense of solidity and presence to them. But their character is still refined, thanks to the classically-inspired design and fine, clean-edged joinery. They come in two sizes: this one is the largest, and has two, slimline drawers underneath its tabletop.

The finish

Brushing the oak removes the soft fibres from its grain, so you get a rustic, touchable texture. The wood’s protected with our IsoGuard® treatment oil in Vintage Oak, which guards against dirt and scuffs while giving it a slightly darker tone.

Design detail

Edinburgh’s defining feature is its legs. They were inspired by classical columns, but are restrained, not fussy. They also highlight the oak’s grain. The delicate handles are our Bronze Barlow design. And on the bottom shelf, you’ll notice a pattern that looks just like tongue-and-groove panelling.

Where we see it

Edinburgh’s sturdy column legs give it a slightly traditional, less formal feel that suits everyday rooms. This bigger size is also one of our wider tables, so that’s something to bear in mind if you want to use it in a hallway – there’s room for baskets, plants and more on the generous tabletop and shelf.

Just So you know

Edinburgh’s made from natural timber, which will expand and shrink slightly as it responds to the humidity and temperature in your room. We’ve used joinery techniques that’ll help to counteract this, but small changes are completely natural. In the unlikely event that there’s a significant change to the structure, we’ll be here to help.

Taking care of Edinburgh

We’ve put together this guide on taking care of your console table, so that it stays looking as beautiful as the day you first brought it home.

We take our delivery service seriously. Neptune transport, Neptune people, Neptune service.

Our white glove service means you’ll have a two-man delivery team. That means no heavy lifting on your part is needed. They’ll take it to your desired spot, assemble it for you and take away the packaging for recycling. The assembly service doesn't include fitted furniture.

For homes and customers outside of the UK and Ireland, our international team are here to help arrange shipping and delivery. Call us on +44 (0)1793 427 427 or e-mail  and together we’ll sort out the best method for you.

No-quibble returns

We believe that returns should be easy, that’s why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. If you decide on the day that it’s not for you then our delivery team can take it away for you there and then, free of charge.

But if you’d rather mull things over, you have 28 days to make up your mind. We do charge a pick-up fee of £29.95 here though, because we’ll need to send our delivery team back out to your address for collection.

If you’ve bought something from us outside the UK or Ireland, just get in touch with the store you bought it from – or with our international team if you bought it through them – and they’ll let you know how you can return or exchange it.

You can find the store’s details online here.
