Bluestone is a type of natural flagstone, and is one of the sturdier forms. By designing an aluminium honeycomb core and wrapping bluestone around it, you’ll get all of the robust character of stone, but it won’t be an impractical weight. It’s also refreshingly cool to lean on in summer.
The clue is in the name – bluestone has a hint of blue to its charcoal grey tone. And, when you look closer, you’ll see its mottled with other blue-grey tints. We’ve chosen a smooth, honed finish over a polished one. It makes it more subtle and neutral. And it comes sealed too to give it a layer of protection.
The construction of Stanway’s teak base isn’t just about looks. It means you have room to fit your legs under easily without anybody being sat between a table leg, and with the plinth being a nice place to rest your feet.
Where we see it
As this table’s one of our heavier ones, it’s best on a firm surface, such as stone paving or timber decking, rather than on the grass. It’s also great for a large conservatory or garden room if you want to use it all year round. In terms of chairs, we see it with Toulston, Stanway or Harrington.
Delivered to you, safe and sound
Free for all orders over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
An estimated delivery date is indicated above, which we’ll confirm at checkout. We'll then be in touch prior to delivery to arrange a specific time.
If your order is being delivered to the UK mainland and Ireland via our white glove service, we’ll unbox your items, position them in your chosen room, assemble anything that’s required and remove and recycle the packaging.
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
Taking care of your furniture
You want: easy-to-care-for pieces that you don’t need to tiptoe around. We’ve got: easy-to-read-through care guides that give you just that.
Just so you know
This table’s made using natural timber, which expands and shrinks slightly as it responds to changes in the weather. Our joinery techniques help to counteract this, but small changes are completely natural. In the unlikely event that there’s a significant change to the structure, we’ll be here to help.
And Stanway comes with a hole in the middle, so that you can use it with one of our parasols.
