Herdwick Sheepskin Rug

We brought Herdwick into our collection as a way to add cosiness to dining seating in winter months. Drape it over wooden benches, over the backs of wooden chairs to lean back into, or even on window ledges to create a comforting window seat. The Herdwick sheep that it comes from are an ancient breed known for their hardiness. They have a coarse fleece but one that’s incredibly warm and flecked with colour to give them a rich and varied tone.

  • Made in Devon at Britain's oldest tannery
  • Herdwick sheep are a Lake District breed, known to be saved from extinction by Beatrix Potter
  • Herdwick is a natural sheepskin. No two rugs will ever be quite the same

Just so you know

From black to mid-grey and from brown to fawn, one of the lovely characteristics of natural sheepskin is their variation in tone. So when you step back, expect to see a slight dappling in shade.
