Winterberry Long Matchsticks

As well as their patterned wrapping – a dark green design that coordinates with our Winterberry paper and, although festive, will feel suitable year-round – our matchsticks are distinctively finished with white tips. They’re extra-long – 28cm – so are perfect for safely lighting fires or candles in hurricane vases. What’s more, the cellophane wrap that keeps them dry en-route to you is biodegradable, and the wood for the matches comes from FSC forests.
Styling your fireside
A nicely packaged box of matches is just the finishing touch to a well-dressed fireplace. After choosing your fire-tending implements (we think you can’t go wrong with a timeless blackened steel set), select a large basket for your bigger logs as well as a smaller one for kindling, firelighters and, of course, your matches.
An elevated gift
When they’re already so well presented, a box of matches like these makes an ideal Christmas gift for anyone who’s lucky enough to have a fire at home, be they a neighbour or the host at a get-together. To elevate them into something special and considered, pair them with a little fireside ‘kit’ of pinecones dipped in scented wax and natural firelighters, all bundled into a small basket like Redford.
