The Lamorran serving bowl has low, wide proportions that lend themselves to sharing dishes like salad and pasta. Its simple white glaze is given texture with a ridged detail to the inner and outer sides and a beaded perimeter. This classic piece is great for layering with other tableware.
Design & engineering
The materials
This bowl is made from dolomite. It’s a type of ceramic that’s incredibly durable, which makes it well-suited to kitchenware because it won’t crack or chip easily. And just like earthenware, it’s porous so needs to be glazed to make it watertight.
The finish
This bowl is covered with a glossy white glaze, then wiped down to remove any excess before firing. It’s done by hand to create irregularities in the glaze so all the bowls vary very slightly. It’s what makes Lamorran look crafted rather than just made.

Furniture orders to mainland UK or Northern Ireland will arrive via our white glove service. We’ll unbox and position your items, assemble anything that’s needed and take away the packaging for recycling.
