A set of six fringe-edged placemats made from unbleached linen with Apricot-coloured stripes the hue of warm red clay – just the thing for creating a more relaxed, country setting at your table. Ayla’s also designed to coordinate with the Antonia Apricot napkins and runner.
The material
Ayla’s made from pure linen. It’s a natural fibre that absorbs spills and dries quickly – just what you want in a placemat. It’s also very strong and durable and gets softer with use. Linen’s naturally crumpled look is part of what makes Ayla feel relaxed, so you only need to lightly iron it – if at all.
Design details
The fringed edge is only a thin one, so they feel laidback but not too rustic. And it won’t fray any further. The placemats come in a matching linen pouch, closed with a pearl button, so they all stay together, dust free and easy to find in the cupboard.
