Lowther’s all about texture. Each piece is slightly rippled – as though it’s just come off the potter’s wheel – and is dusted with dark brown freckles on an off-white background. Use these small bowls for sides or condiments when you want your table to have a laidback, contemporary feel.

Lowther’s made from ceramic, which is extremely strong and hardwearing. You can stack these bowls and put them in the dishwasher or microwave without having to worry about them chipping. It’s everything you want from everyday crockery. Lowther's unusual matte finish gives it a more contemporary, artisanal feel.

The number of speckles can vary from piece to piece – something that’s good if you want to use several pieces together but don’t like things being too matchy-matchy.
