Muddy dogs, children and late night dancing are all in a day's work for our hard wearing oak floor. Named after one of the largest and oldest oak trees in England, our cleverly engineered boards have a generous 4mm of oak on top of a very stable 11mm of multiply; making them perfect for under floor heating. Treated with our protective Isoguard treatment, they are beautifully finished, extremely resilient and feel wonderfully soft under foot.

A closer look at Marton

The materials

This flooring’s engineered timber, which means it’s made from a top layer of oak bonded to a base layer of plywood. We use a generous 4mm of oak that’ll give your floor a long life, combined with a thick 11mm layer of ply. This combination’s very strong, so it’s ideal for use with underfloor heating.

Looking after it

Like all our wood flooring, Marton comes with a coating of our IsoGuard® treatment oil to protect it. It’s invisible, so the natural oak character isn’t masked in any way, and it helps to make each board less susceptible to stains and scuffs. You can read all there is no know about IsoGuard here.

Where we see it

The warm, honey hue of Natural Oak suits all styles of room, but it’s a bit more traditional than our grey Chalked Oak finish. It goes well with our more rustic neutral paints, such as Cotswold and Limestone, and our textured wool Tolsey and Elgin rugs.
