Naunton is woven from a blend of mostly wool with a little cotton: a naturally soft and hardwearing combination that, together with the tight flatweave, is suitable for using in high-traffic areas like hallways, kitchens and family rooms. The tightness of this weave is also a good choice if you’re worried about snags.
Like all our rugs, Naunton has a cotton and natural latex backing to add to its durability and help stop it from moving around on hard floors (although you may still find you want to add an additional non-slip mat if your rug isn’t weighed down by furniture). The edges of the rug are simply bound with a whipped border in matching thread.
Choosing a rug size
As a general rule of thumb, your rug should ideally be large enough for all your major pieces of furniture to sit at least partially on top of it. So, in a living room, you’ll want your sofa’s and armchairs’ front legs to be sitting on the rug, if not their back legs too. Runners, meanwhile, are a good choice for kitchens as well as hallways, where the long, thin shape suits the space along a run of cabinetry, and especially so in a galley kitchen or between cabinets and an island.
When it comes to smaller items, we don't hang around.
From our own, white-glove service for delivering larger pieces in the UK and Ireland, to our courier and international partners, rest assured that we’ve done everything we can to make sure your order gets to you on time and in one, perfect piece.
Delivery’s also entirely free if you’re in the UK and spend over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
