The perfect present
If you’d like to give this bouquet as a present (and you’re not sending it straight to the lucky recipient), then it’s very easy to wrap up. After gathering together your stems and securing them with a piece of twine, take a large square of paper and, placing your bouquet at an angle to the bottom corner, gradually roll it around the stems. Alternatively, simply arrange the stems in the vase and place a large bow around that.
What’s included
One of the real joys of life-like flowers is that you’re not limited by what’s in season. It means that, in this bouquet, we’ve been able to combine spring blooms like apple blossom (there are three branches of this) and ranunculas (one in warm pink and two bundles in white) with late-summer dahlias (one single stem in dusky pink, two in white and two bundles in soft pink). Then, for more frothy, floaty texture, we’ve finished the arrangement off with two stems of corn parsley. If you opt for the version with a vase, we’ll also send our tall Thursfield.
The vase
Because the flowers themselves create a relatively simple palette of white and pink, we wanted to add a third element in to lift it. Thursfield, with its hand-stamped pattern of pale blue blooms, turned out to be just the thing as the blue adds an element of contrast while also feeling just as delicate and summery as the bouquet, while the raw clay detail adds to the ‘fresh from the garden’ aesthetic.
The beauty of life-like
There’s so much to love about life-like flowers, the most obvious being that they’re long lasting and low maintenance. They also mean you can have out of season blooms without the carbon footprint of the real thing. Ours are considered in every way – from the petals to the leaves and stems – so they look and even feel incredibly realistic.
Tips for arranging
Place each stem into the vase (or, if you’d prefer, gather them in your hand first) at an angle so they splay out naturally to the sides, and if any look too stiff, our life-like stems are wired so you can manipulate them into place or bend some up at the base to create different heights. Make sure to check your arrangement from all sides as you go along too.

Just so you know
The wires in our stems are tough so you can’t accidentally snap them, so you’ll need something powerful if you want to trim them down. We’ve found long-handled loppers (the ones for pruning shrubs and trees) or wire cutters do the trick.
The wire inside also means you can’t put our stems in water for long or they’ll rust. So if you’re arranging them with real flowers, bend the life-like stems up out of the water.
