Cranbrook’s finish is fire-retardant which means that, if it did ever catch fire, it would slow down the spread. It’s there for extra peace of mind.
A closer look at Cranbrook
Shiplap’s a type of rough-sawn wooden board used to build sheds, barns, outhouses and shutters. It’s often seen in harsh climates, where the overlapping boards are known for their strength and insulating warmth.
Norwegian spruce is a sturdy timber that doesn’t move or shrink once you’ve installed it. And its natural rustic texture makes Cranbrook more interesting to look at than smooth, plain wood.
Cranbrook comes with a wash of our pale grey Silver Birch paint, a classic, warm neutral that goes with everything. You can also order it in any of our current or archive shades so it’ll match the rest of your room.
How it works
Cranbrook comes in 3.5m lengths – it’s easy to fix it to a wall or ceiling using headless nails. On ceilings, it can be nailed straight onto the joists; on walls, the best way’s to screw battens to the surface and then nail the boards on top.
Where we see it
Cranbrook works in every room, from kitchens and bathrooms the bedrooms and sitting rooms – it’ll take on a different character depending on the colour you choose. Whites like Salt have a clean, Scandinavian look, Aqua Blue feels more nautical, while Moss or Cactus would be lovely in a garden room.
