Commercial Director

The role

It's an exciting time here at Neptune as we have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Commercial Director to join us, reporting directly into our CEO. The role will take responsibility for shaping, leading and driving profitable revenues for the retail, wholesale, franchise and ecommerce channels. The Commercial Director will drive business-to-consumer and business-to-business growth in a dynamic environment whilst delivering a consistently high customer and employee experience across all areas.


Responsibilities include:

  • Developing relevant strategies to drive growth across different channels in the UK, and in selected international markets
  • Maintaining and developing existing store portfolio as well as building a strategy for growth
  • Developing the Retail, ecommerce and B2B revenue streams and our international business
  • Managing all the elements of the different channels' budgets, the P&L performance, and the capex requirements
  • Working with Marketing to develop initiatives around product, promotions and marketing materials to drive the performance and deliver enhancements to drive profitability
  • Building relationships with existing and new wholesale and franchise business partners in an environment of honesty and mutual respect and based on aligned values
  • Using effective and integrated product, marketing, visual merchandising, store design and brand strategies to maximise customer engagement and conversion
  • Planning, developing and reviewing new markets and opportunities, including identifying new store locations, and new concepts
  • Delivering a consistent holistic, engaging, and inspirational retail and online customer experience and journey
  • Ensuring that the Retail Team operates effectively and are provided with relevant KPIs, ensuring coaching, training and development are in place to enhance their skills and performance
  • Setting clearly defined performance metrics for all team members and motivate and inspire large teams to deliver our shared goals

This role will drive significant change in organisational behaviour therefore to be successful in this role we are looking for someone who is resilient, energetic and proactive. Someone who has strong leadership skills and is able to influence and communicate across multiple layers of the business.
