Warehouse Management System Controller

The role

The Neptune warehouse team run a technical, modern, highly efficient operation, coordinating the huge flow of items in and out of the business. Their aim is, ultimately, to get orders to our customers as quickly as possible, but always with great care. Our warehouse, which sits next to our HQ in Wiltshire, is a bit like the hive of the company, constantly busy at any given time. But it's an enjoyable, multi-cultural place to work, always filled with music and with a relaxed kitchen area when a moment to unwind is needed, even if it's just for a quick cup of tea.

The Role
To monitor and report on the movement of stock in the warehouse using the Empirica system, develop and manage a process for the use of the system and ensure all staff are trained to use it effectively. This role would suit someone who is happy to work a late shift, typically from 3pm until Midnight.

Based at our stunning HQ in Swindon, Wiltshire you'll be working at the heart of Neptune products every day, and be responsible for:

  • Implementing the use of WMS to track goods in the warehouse, develop and maintain a procedure for its effective use.
  • Train other staff on the use of WMS and monitor its use to ensure that it is effective and being used correctly.
  • Liaise with the IT department to ensure that WMS interacts effectively with the company's database.
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensure the scanners are in good working order and charged.
  • Identify and rectify any problems or faults with the WMS system.
  • Resolve any issues regarding the location of stock in the warehouse.

We are looking for a motivated person who has excellent communication skills and is able to build good relationships with their team and the wider business. You'll be a natural, hands on problem solver, who has previous experience of Warehouse Management Systems as well as managing a team.
