From our own, white-glove service for delivering larger pieces in the UK and Ireland, to our courier and international partners, rest assured that we’ve done everything we can to make sure your order gets to you on time and in one, perfect piece.
Delivery’s also entirely free if you’re in the UK and spend over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
You want: easy-to-care-for pieces that you don’t need to tiptoe around. We’ve got: easy-to-read-through care guides that give you just that.

The perfect pairing
You could team almost any lampshade with this base, but we know that it’s not always easy to do that online. So, we’ve chosen a few we think matches it best – Oliver and James – for you. If you’d like to order the lampshade on its own, you can do that here. Or, if you would like to just order the base, select the option without the shade above.
You’ll find a mix of curving and angular shapes in Fairfax’s design – one to highlight the other. Its stem has turned details at the top and bottom, which are balanced by the plain middle. And in the base – which adds weight to the design – a swooping arc joins two squares.
When it comes to painted timber, we use tulipwood – a strong and resilient hardwood. Its fine, almost knot-free grain makes it perfectly suited to a painted finish, so you get the best of both worlds – strength and smoothness.
Not every design and every colour needs the same process – a ‘one finish suits all’ approach won’t ever give you the best result possible. That’s why we vary the number of coats and use both hand-painted and spray-painted techniques depending on what that shade needs.
