Comfort & proportions
The depth and width of Long Island is made for curling up in, and it leans back just enough for slouching. You’ll immediately sink into its cushions but their construction means you’ll never feel the frame underneath.
Sofa Shape & silhouette
Long Island’s shape continues the feeling of relaxation, with a fluid arc to its side profile and gentle scrolling on its arms. It also has rolled, pillow-like back cushions rather than boxed ones for an inviting look that gently cushions the shoulders.
Sofa Design detail
The covers are precision-made to the frame, but with a degree of looseness so that you’re able to take them on and off. Together with the kick pleats, which are stitched in place at each corner, this means that no matter how much it’s used, the covers will never fall out of place.
When it comes to smaller items, we don't hang around.
From our own, white-glove service for delivering larger pieces in the UK and Ireland, to our courier and international partners, rest assured that we’ve done everything we can to make sure your order gets to you on time and in one, perfect piece.
Delivery’s also entirely free if you’re in the UK and spend over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset.
And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
When it comes to designs painted in a bespoke colour or fabric by the metre, there’s also a 20% returns/cancellation fee. We’d love to not have to charge a penny for this, but as they’re made just for you, we can’t always guarantee that we’ll be able to sell them again.

Taking care of Long Island
Looking after Neptune designs is easy – they won’t ask you for a lot. But, whether you’d like advice on everyday cleaning or seasonal and yearly care, you’ll find all our tips, suggestions and recommendations in our care guides.
The textiles in our fabric library range from pure linen to rich velvet and wool, and each one has its own character. Tone and texture can vary slightly from thread to thread, and expect to see the occasional slub in our linens and pile movement in our velvets. We’ve written an article about the personality behind each of our fabrics so that you can figure out which one best suits your home.
And, rest assured, all the feathers and down in our cushion fillings come from ethical, cruelty-free sources.
Sometimes colour between batches can vary ever-so-slightly. To be on the safe side, we’d advise buying pieces that are being used in the same room in one go.
The joy of sitting in
Ways to rekindle the joy of an evening in, from the practical (choosing the perfect seat), to the fun (setting up a home cinema) to the emotive (why ‘hygge’ is still relevant).
