A morning with the accidental beekeeper

Free Neptune Chesham 11 August 2019 11:00 - 12:00

Eight years ago, photographer Meriet Duncan happened upon beekeeping and has loved it ever since. She’s written a children’s book, Betsie Valentine and the Honeybees, and you’ll now find her travelling up and down the country to share her passion.

She’ll be stopping by Neptune Chesham on Sunday 11th August with her virtual hive in tow, so be sure to come along to hear all about honeybees and how we can help them. Little ones are very much welcome, and you’ll be able to buy a signed copy of Betsie Valentine to take home.

Need to knows

Parking: we have our own spacious car park (which is of course free), so you can park just a short stroll from our front door.
Wheelchair access: Neptune Chesham is spread over two floors, but we have a lift and step-free access into and around the store.
Prams and little ones: we’d be happy to help with a spot of babysitting while you browse, should an extra pair of hands help. Inside, it’s lovely and spacious so even a double buggy will find its way around.
Four-legged friends: well-behaved dogs are more than welcome too. But if you’re the proud owner of four Great Danes, we’d appreciate it if you perhaps left them at home.
