We call these ‘water’ glasses, but they’re for large servings of milk and juice too. And use them as a high ball glass for ‘tall’ drinks like gin & tonic and Bloody Mary. Of our three styles, the Hoxton tall water glasses have quite a simple, square shape that suits all settings.

The making process

All our glassware is mouth-blown. It’s a traditional technique that leaves small air bubbles trapped in the glass. We fire-polish every piece to remove as many as we can, but we can’t remove them all. And we wouldn’t want to – it’s a mark of true craftsmanship.

Design inspiration

One of our founders and his wife were walking in the Italian mountains. Finding a lodge, they sat down and ordered wine. Their Chianti arrived in a very simple, slightly oversized, gently tapering glass. And the idea for our Hoxton glassware was born.
