Somerton Bathroom Basket, Large
Part of our Somerton collectionView in store
Materials
Somerton is made from kubu – a type of natural rattan that’s strong, smooth and sustainable. It has a grey-brown colour that’s subtle and fits easily into any interior. Because it’s a natural material, this colour will vary within each piece, giving them even more texture.
In the Making
It’s not always possible to make things by hand, but when it comes to basket-weaving, that’s really the only way to do it. It means that our baskets are perfectly imperfect when it comes to shape and size, with much more character than if a machine made them.
Design is in the detail
The handles in this basket are woven in as a sturdy part of the structure, so you can pick it up without worrying. And so it sits neatly wherever you place it, with as few wobbles as possible, we’ve made the bottom as flat as we can.
In use
If you have an Edinburgh open washstand that’s in need of more organisation, these baskets come in two sizes to fit perfectly – one medium basket in the small washstand; one large basket in the large washstand; and two medium in the double-sink one. They’ll also sit happily inside other cabinets and on deep shelves.
When it comes to smaller items, we don't hang around.
From our own, white-glove service for delivering larger pieces in the UK and Ireland, to our courier and international partners, rest assured that we’ve done everything we can to make sure your order gets to you on time and in one, perfect piece.
Delivery’s also entirely free if you’re in the UK and spend over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
No-quibble returns
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
Taking care of Somerton
Somerton couldn’t be easier to keep clean – all you need to do is wipe it down with a dry e-cloth if it gets dusty or spilt on. And if you’re keeping it in the bathroom, give it a chance to dry out and ensure your space is well-ventilated. The only other thing to say is that you should avoid any harsh chemicals or cleaning products, as these could damage the material.
