From our own, white-glove service for delivering larger pieces in the UK and Ireland, to our courier and international partners, rest assured that we’ve done everything we can to make sure your order gets to you on time and in one, perfect piece.
Delivery’s also entirely free if you’re in the UK and spend over £50 (or €100 in Ireland).
We believe that returns should be easy, which is why we approach them with a ‘no quibble’ mindset. And, you’ll also have 28 days to do so – just in case you need time to mull things over.
We’ve put together a series of guides on how best to take care of our pieces, so you can keep them looking as good as the day you first brought them home.
The colours in our paint palette shown here are a close representation of their true shades, but to see the real thing, we suggest trying our sample paint pots.
Chichester’s made from natural timber, which will expand and shrink slightly as it responds to the humidity and temperature in your room. We’ve used joinery techniques that’ll help to counteract this, but small changes are completely natural. In the unlikely event that there’s a significant change to the structure, we’ll be here to help.
A closer look at Chichester
Chichester’s base is made of tulipwood, a hardwood with a fine, knot-free grain that makes a smooth surface for paint. We use a mixture of spray-painted and hand-painted techniques, so the finish is as perfect and robust as can be. The top’s oak, which we use for its beautiful grain, knots and variations in tone. It’s protected with our IsoGuard® treatment oil in Natural Oak, which guards against marks without masking its character.
The finish: IsoGuard®
Chichester’s oak top is protected with IsoGuard®, our timber treatment oil that helps to prevent stains and spills from setting in, like water rings from cups without coasters. And it does all of this without masking the natural look and feel of oak like most lacquers and sealers do.
Carved door mouldings and skirting give Chichester an elegant look. It comes with both oak and chrome Chichester knobs, so you can choose whichever suits your room best. The cupboard doors shut on chrome roller catches, and inside, the shelves are supported on load-bearing zigzag supports, so you don’t have to worry about them coming loose.
Where we see it
Chichester gives a lovely library-style feeling to a living room or study. It’s also great in place of built-in shelving in a niche (such as either side of a chimney breast).
