Look after your life-like plant with just a quick weekly dust. Use a clean feather duster or a wipe.
A closer look at Hydrangea
Plants inside are one of those finishing details that help a space feel more lived in. If you’d rather avoid the upkeep though, then a life-like one is even better. They’ll still bring touches of greenery to your home, but there’s no need to worry about watering, pruning and deadheading.
From real-life to life-like
Hydrangeas are shrubs that can grow up to seven metres wide, which makes them quite difficult to keep inside in a pot. Like a young plant, ours has just one, large flowerhead with busy leaves beneath, so it’s happy sitting on a tabletop or windowsill. So it’s as realistic as possible, we’ve even given it believably crumbly soil.
Terracotta is a type of earthenware clay that has a red-orange colour thanks to the amount of iron in it. Because it’s fired at lower temperatures than some other types of pottery, it has a rougher texture which we’ve then aged further with a ‘mossy’ coating, so it looks like it’s naturally weather-worn.
