Design details

Shaker design principles inspired the no-frills look of this shelf. Oak covers neatly conceal the three stainless steel brackets. Our white oak is sustainably sourced from the American Appalachians. It has an even grain and mellow, honeyed colouring. Finished in Seasoned Oak IsoGuard, our stain-repellent formula that complements the timber’s natural qualities.

Design inspiration

Originally inspired by antique Shaker furniture found in Suffolk, the collection is rooted in this 18th-century movement which emphasised the importance of utility and honesty in design. The Shaker influence is highlighted through the collection’s classic yet pared-back feel and considered design details including turned legs and recessed door panels.
