How better to mark 30 years of making quality furniture than with the new Henley curved cabinet? A feat of engineering and carpentry that tests the skills and craftsmanship we’ve honed over the last three decades.
When you’re a furniture designer and maker, there really is only one way to mark a special anniversary, and that’s with a stand-out new design. Something that challenges how we’ve come to understand wood and glass – both the limitations and the possibilities – something that feels complementary to the rest of Neptune’s elegantly considered aesthetic but that also lifts the bar once more and tests our ingenuity.

The new Henley curved cabinet speaks to our core vision to create furniture that features natural materials, focuses on technical engineering and heritage carpentry, and celebrates innovative, quality design. Its curved edges reference back to the first Henley curved kitchen cabinet that co-founder John Sims-Hilditch designed some 15 years ago. A corner piece that was part of the kitchen collection, it was a challenging project at the time. This new iteration pushes the design considerations even further.
The key feature of the cabinet is its curved glass sides and internal, curved, solid oak shelves. Bending the molten glass and then fitting it into the curved door frames is a technically complex process requiring extreme precision and uniformity – something only possible to achieve because we own and oversee the design and making process from beginning to end.

The result is worth the effort. The Henley cabinet is a showstopping piece of furniture, a display cabinet that sits just as comfortably in a kitchen-diner, hallway or sitting room. It is both decorative and useful. With the exterior painted in Olive as standard (it can also be customised), the cabinet’s essence is pure Neptune with its attention to crafted details such as adjustable zigzag shelves, Ellington flattened brass handles, and integrated lighting which offers a backlit effect for the objets on display. As a mark of 30 years of designing and making furniture, the Henley curved cabinet celebrates all that we’ve learnt and sets the standard for the next three decades.
