The role

At Neptune, we believe thoughtful design has the power to shape the way people live. Every kitchen we create is considered with care, balancing beauty, function and longevity in equal measure.

We're looking for a Commercial Designer to join our central design team and help bring this philosophy to life across a range of commercial and multi-plot projects. This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about interiors, detail and craftsmanship to work on high-quality design schemes from concept through to completion. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business, you'll create accurate, inspiring kitchen and fitted cabinetry designs that reflect our aesthetic, supporting commercial objectives and delivering an exceptional client experience.

The role
As part of the Design Services team, you'll support the delivery of commercial projects by producing thoughtful, accurate designs aligned with Neptune's standards and values.

Working closely with business developers, project teams and cross-functional departments, you'll interpret client briefs, develop practical design solutions and ensure projects are delivered smoothly, accurately and on time.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Create kitchen and fitted cabinetry designs from client briefs and site plans
  • Support projects from concept through to completion
  • Prepare quotations, process orders, and produce technical documentation
  • Collaborate with teams across Retail, Installations and Marketing
  • Maintain accurate project records and technical drawings
  • Ensure all work meets Neptune's design and governance standards
  • Manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail
  • Contribute to improving design processes and ways of working

You'll have a genuine passion for kitchen and interior design, alongside a highly organised and collaborative approach. Working in a fast-paced environment you'll work alongside a dedicated team and be comfortable with independent working. You'll also be confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional standards. Experience or training in kitchen or interior design, along with proficiency in AutoKitchen or similar CAD software and a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. You'll also bring strong communication, presentation and organisational skills, with a positive, proactive and adaptable mindset.

Our Story
Founded in 1996 by friends John Sims-Hilditch and Giles Redman, Neptune design and make pieces for your whole home. Recognised for our exacting standards, design-led aesthetic and expert craftsmanship, we're perhaps most known for kitchens - with heirloom-worthy dressers not far behind. Neptune's trademark 'look' is British: refined, simple, sturdy, and with an almost obsessive attention to detail. We're also respected for our commitment to craft and quality. Put simply, we make things we're proud of, and that are designed to last a lifetime.
