Using the pastoral paintings of 19th-century artist John Constable as inspiration, we collaborated with talented London-based maker Lucy Mayes to design the rich, inky colour that is Constable Green. This interior eggshell paint is easy to apply and contains plenty of pigment to ensure even, consistent coverage.

Design inspiration

To design Constable Green, skilled maker Lucy Mayes used traditional pigment recipes made from items collected around her local area. “To achieve the layered depth of colour, I experimented with pigments created from a copper fishing reel, weld flowers, and seed pods from London plane trees.”

    Care guide

    • Clean brushes with warm water and soap.
    • When painting a space where humidity and temperatures fluctuate, drying times may be longer.
    • We recommend purchasing as much paint as you need in one go so it’s from the same batch and keep some spare for touch-ups.
    • Colours may vary slightly with each pot – once open, stir thoroughly to ensure the paint is well mixed.
    • Recycle the metal tin and plastic handle separately at home.
     

    Delivery

    • Orders over £150 (or €250 in Ireland) qualify for free delivery.  
    • For orders under £150 (or €250 in Ireland), a delivery fee of £6.95 applies (£30 in Ireland).
    • If your order is in stock and eligible for parcel delivery to mainland UK, one of our approved couriers will deliver it within 5 days.
    • For larger products, we offer our White Glove Service delivery within 21 days (mainland UK and Northern Ireland only).
    • For items with an estimated delivery timeframe, we’ll either dispatch them upon arrival or contact you to arrange delivery.
    • If you’re ordering outside mainland UK or Northern Ireland, we ship through our international delivery partners. Please refer to our full terms and conditions for more details.

    Returns

    • You can return most items within 28 days of delivery, but you may be charged for a courier or collection service.
    • If you cancel your order within 24 hours, you will be fully refunded
    • You are unable to amend, cancel or return made to order and painted to order designs
