Our fabrics
Each of our fabrics is chosen for its performance qualities and expertly hand-upholstered to our solid timber frames for a precise, neatly tailored look which minimises slacking over time. We’ve curated a cohesive library of fabrics that have high Martindale rub counts and durable qualities that make them perfect for everyday living, from traditional heritage fabrics like natural linens to premium fabrics such as cotton velvet and leather. To keep your fabric looking its best, we recommend considering where your sofa will be positioned and if possible, avoiding constant exposure to direct sunlight.
Our sofa cushionsOur seat cushions are filled with the perfect combination of fibre and feather wrapped foam core, while back cushions are feather and fibre filled for a mix of support and comfort. Encased in a cotton lining to keep feathers contained, the feather-to-fibre ratio strikes the perfect balance to maintain both comfort and form over time. Beneath the cushions, within the frame, we use serpentine springs, designed specifically to encourage a spring rebound. They are installed with an upward curve which prevents you from being able to feel the timber frames through the upholstered cushions.
Our framesOur frames are made from solid kiln-dried tulipwood and birch plywood, chosen for their strength and durability. Expertly crafted by our own team, we use traditional joinery techniques and quality materials which mean we can guarantee the frames for life. The timber has also been tested to withstand reupholstering up to ten times. Sofa legs, which feature discreet glides to protect floors, are made from solid oak and finished with our specially developed IsoGuard® which protects the timber without masking its natural beauty.
