Parfois, dans le salon, trop de sièges capitonnés peuvent donner l’impression d’un excès de tissus et de moelleux. Une astuce consiste alors à créer un contraste avec un fauteuil au cadre en bois. Et lorsque nous avons vu une chaise des années 50 faire exactement cela dans un hôtel, nous avons immédiatement su que nous voulions transposer le concept dans notre collection d’inspiration Arts & Crafts Wycombe. C’est ainsi qu’est né ce fauteuil d’appoint au cadre en chêne et à l’assise en jonc.

Materials
We source the finest cuts of solid oak for our timber furniture, which gives it the strength and longevity to last for generations. Like any natural material, oak features variations in colour and grain and characterful knots - qualities to be celebrated as part of its very nature.
Design inspiration
Wycombe pays homage to the Arts & Crafts movement that emerged at the end of the 19th century. Its pioneers championed quality materials and traditional craftsmanship, with utility and beauty always at the forefront. Morris & Co’s seminal Sussex Chair prompted Wycombe’s key design notes – the woven rush seat and spindled back.
