Can coffee mugs and tea cups be mixed in the same table setting?

Yes, and it often feels more relaxed. Using coffee mugs for morning routines and tea cups and saucers for afternoon or after-dinner tea creates a natural rhythm at the table. To keep the setting cohesive, choose pieces with complementary tones or similar ceramic finishes. Mixing different shapes can work beautifully when the overall palette feels calm and considered.
