A closer look at Orme
Orme is made in Yorkshire from pure Shetland wool, which is known for its strength and softness (it’s also used to make Fair Isle jumpers). Although it’s quite a fine layer, the slightly fuzzy texture and thick tassels at either end make it very cosy.
A deep navy on one side moving towards a softer teal on the other, Orme is inspired by the way that light reflects on the feathers of teal ducks. And if you look closely, you’ll see the tiniest flecks of grey and green adding richness to the colour. It looks especially great on a sofa or armchair covered in our Isla velvet in Kingfisher.
This is one of our larger throws – big enough to fit comfortably over a king bed or across a sofa, or to fold up for cosier layering.
